Nanotechnology

Upper elementary

Nanotechnology is the science of things that are measured at the nanoscale or one billionth of the scale being used to measure the object. For example, an object being measure in meters would be one billionth of a meter or a nanometer. Time being measured in seconds would be a nanosecond. Atoms, cells, and viruses are examples of objects that are measured on in nanometers. Nanoscale things often behave differently than larger things do. The way a material behaves on the macroscale is influenced by its structure on the nanoscale. Scientists and engineers develop special tools to manipulate objects on the nanoscale. The field of nanotechnology is interdisciplinary and the impacts of products and systems that utilize nanotechnology have far reaching and often times as yet unknown consequences.

View It and Do It lesson videos are $50/video link. Lesson kits are $4/kit. Each student needs one kit.

Your video link will be emailed to you along with an invoice for your View It and Do It link and kits when the kits have been shipped to you. The video link will be available for 30 days following that email. Extensions are available upon request. Full payment is due upon receipt of invoice.
