Research shows sensory activities are the best ways for young children to learn. Social skills and self-confidence. Fun-filled, age appropriate activities using colorful gym equipment and sensory stimulation provide a wealth of "food" for the brain. Caregivers and children make friends and experience play like never before!
PlayGym is being temporarily relocated to High Point Climbing and Fitness located at 219 Broad Street but will still include the experiences you know and love.
BabyGym - 4 to 14 months
Mondays at 9 a.m.
Babies engage in a carefully-planned program that addresses all important areas of early development. Baby sign language, music, movement, socialization, and language development are included in each class. Keepsake art is created every week, giving lots of opportunities for sharing baby's milestones with the family.
Little Ones - 12 to 24 months
Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:15 a.m. (class time changes to 9 a.m. on Thursdays starting August 22)
Caregivers and children enjoy activities based on age-appropriate themes that change weekly. Baby sign language gives children communication skills that transfer to the home setting. All classes include seesaw time, bubbles, rhythm band, and process art.
2 Much Fun - 24 to 36 months
Wednesdays at 9 a.m., Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. (class time changes to 10:15 a.m. on Thursdays starting August 22)
Children experience a variety of themed activities that aid in building vocabulary. Children also practice social skills as they learn to share, take turns, and enjoy playing in a group setting.
Preschool Enrichment - ages 3-4
Mondays at 10:15 a.m.
Children experience sensory-filled activities based on rich early childhood literature. Activities such as making ice cream in a ball, planting seeds, and baking pies provide rich connections to delightful literature. This class features some of PlayGym’s favorite components such as seesaws and rhythm band.
