Discovery Virtual Learning Experiences

Can’t make it to the Museum? Let us come to you through the power of technology! We offer exciting, interactive lessons straight to your classroom computer.

Discovery Virtual Learning Experiences give students and teachers the opportunity to take advantage of the Museum’s hands-on instruction using the classroom environment. The distance learning educator will teach the lesson via video conference technology.

To take advantage of these lessons, classrooms need:

  • Distance learning equipment with adequate Internet connection and speed OR
  • A computer with a video camera (either built in or external) and a copy of SKYPE, or Facetime installed

Each 50-minute lesson includes a kit containing a teacher packet and enough materials for up to 25 students to participate, which will arrive by mail prior to the lesson.
